The first phase of a huge comprehensive development of Summarecon Serpong, consists of a 45,362 square metre mall with a 1-level basement and 4-storeys for retail. The main feature of the development is the “downtown walk” where an alfresco dining experience serves patrons in a beautiful downtown setting.

The second phase of Summarecon Mall Serpong consisted of a 4-storey mall with a basement, a 7-storey split level parking building, and an energy house, with a total area of 112,100 square metres (83,250 sq.m mall, 26,600 square metres for and 2,500 square metres for the energy house).

The structural system of the mall building is a reinforced concrete open frame with a composite reinforced concrete slab metal deck and reinforced concrete beams for the floor system. The parking building uses a dual system of reinforced concrete open frame and shear walls to withstand seismic effects, while the energy house uses a reinforced concrete open frame system. The parking building uses a precast pile of 45 by 45 centimetres for the foundation. The result was a fast and efficient construction time, taking only 30 days of piling work and 120 days for building the structure.
