Situated in a prominent site in the Jakarta CBD, adjacent to Plaza Indonesia and behind the Japanese Embassy building, the Indonesia-1 Tower standing at more than 300-metres, rise from a 19,000 square metre site and provide 310,000 square metres of offices, retail space, service apartments, and underground parking.
After postponing the construction process, one of the supertall twin towers named South Tower is redesigned to be a fully luxurious resident, while the North Tower is still designated as office with hotel and service apartment on the top part. Alternation of function from office to resident, shall be designed carefully to minimized structural strengthening work and to fulfill the targeted project schedule.
Recognized for its expertise and reliability, Davy Sukamta & Partners was retained to continue its role as the geotechnical and structural engineering consultant, working together with the new stakeholders.
The Project consists of a 63-storey North Tower, and a 59-storey plus 4-storey mezzanine in the Cube at South Tower. The 7 basement levels were constructed with a semi top-down method. It was the deepest basement in Indonesia at the time of its completion. Coupled core wall and outriggers were selected as structural system. The floor system is made up of composite steel beams and a reinforced concrete slab on a metal deck.
