The JIExpo New Hall is a continuation of the JIExpo complex, designed to be fully integrated with the existing exhibition facilities. With an additional area of approximately 20,000 square meters, this expansion is being executed as a fast-track project, making careful planning and well-considered design strategies essential to meet both timeline and performance expectations.

A key component of the design strategy lies in the selection of the structural system. A special reinforced concrete moment frame system is implemented along the perimeter of the main hall to provide lateral resistance, while the pre-function areas and the interior of the hall are designed using a gravity-only beam and column system. This combination allows for efficient and seamless adjustments during the design development process, as most revisions tend to affect only the gravity systems and not the lateral components.

To accelerate the construction timeline, a space frame system has been selected for the long-span roof. This structure covers a free-span arena measuring 70 by 130 meters on the second floor, enabling a large, unobstructed space suitable for diverse exhibition uses.

The first floor of the new exhibition area is engineered to support a live load of 4 tons per square meter. Its layout features column panels measuring 20 by 30 meters, with a floor-to-ceiling height of 9 meters, providing a generous and flexible exhibition environment. On the second floor, a long-span steel truss system supports a conventional reinforced concrete slab. This level is designed for a live load of 1.4 tons per square meter and offers an expansive floor-to-ceiling height of 18.5 meters, enhancing the spatial quality of the arena above.

The foundation system is based on 0.6-meter diameter spun piles, chosen for their strength and efficiency. Construction of the foundation began in early June 2025 and was completed on late of July 2025. Superstructure construction is underway and is scheduled for completion in March 2026.
