Grand Mercure Carita is the first high-rise building in Indonesia that is designed to withstand the force of a tsunami. It is located on Jalan Raya Carita, Pantai Umbul Tanjung. This building consists of a slender 17-storey high tower sitting on top of 2-storey podium surrounded by landscaped earth mound.

Davy Sukamta & Partners has been hired as a structural and foundation engineering consultant for this project. The topping-off ceremony was held on September 8, 2024. Currently, finishing works on the main building are ongoing, while construction is still in progress for supporting facilities such as the restaurant, swimming pool toilet area, pool bar, and the PLN utility building.

The official brand name has been changed to Movenpick Anyer, and it is scheduled to commence operations by the end of 2025.
