Grand Mercure Carita is the first high-rise building in Indonesia that is designed to withstand the force of a tsunami. It is located on Jalan Raya Carita, Pantai Umbul Tanjung. This building consists of a slender 17-storey high tower sitting on top of 2-storey podium surrounded by landscaped earth mound.

 

Davy Sukamta & Partners has been hired as a structural and foundation engineering consultant for this project. Currently, the 17th floor is being constructed. The end of August 2024 will mark the topping off.
