Originally conceived as a 4-story dormitory, the UID Lodge Bali project is now being redesigned into a 5-story hotel facility, with a building footprint of approximately 66 x 18 meters. Located on Serangan Island, Denpasar, Bali, the project is currently in the design development stage.
The initial design employed a steel structural system with a transfer structure. However, Davy Sukamta & Partners (DSP) was appointed by PT Total Bangun Persada to optimize the structure by transitioning to a reinforced concrete system—particularly for the lateral force resisting components.
At the time of DSP’s involvement, the project had already progressed to the piling stage. Recognizing the significance of minimizing construction revisions, DSP is working closely with the project team to ensure the redesign does not result in excessive additional piling, while still upholding structural safety and cost efficiency.
The project is targeted for completion in May 2026.
